I was wondering if anyone has or had any experience with Thunder Beast Suppressor’s? Looking at getting a 30 cal suppressor for multiple rifle usage.

No personal experience but have heard nothing but good things about the product.

That being said I happened to be at the range once with the owner of Thunder Beast and found him to be quite abrasive. Essentially harassing my group and I about not shooting suppressed.

And for that …. I’m out.

No personal experience, but have heard lots of good things about the TB 7. Conversely, have heard just as many negative things about the TB 5. I’ve shot with someone that had a TB5, definitely not as quiet as others, and had an obnoxious “ping” to it.

Thunderbeast does run a testing session, open to all who would like to send a can, every summer. And they publish the results.

I think 4 years ago the TB7 was one of the best in class, but the development of titanium printing has left them in the dust. For the money there’s lighter, quieter cans available.

I have an Ultra 7 and a Magnus K. Both are great suppressors. The Magnus is a lot thicker and shorter than the 7. I really don’t notice much of a difference. If I had to do it over again I would have just gone with the Magnus.

Ive dealt with a guy at the local gun club for years who never shuts up about suppressors. And every time i tell him hes a jack off, and im not ruining the aesthetic of my pristine hunting rifles that are older than him, over the fear of decibles of the 2 or 3 shots i take a year on big game animals. So after reading your post i looked up what shane coppinger looks like, yep same guy. Between him, and the jackoff who always tries to sell me "classes" to "build" an ar 15 chambered in 6.5 creedmore, who also owns a local gun business, ive left ranges at the local gun club more times than i can count.

Thing that kills me with thunderbeast, is the publish many page long dialogs about performance but are very scarce on actual real world decibel readings. Eg, they cant tell me what a specific rifle and specific ammunition decibel will be. Between that, and the fact their wages for cnc machinists here are industry leading for LOW, ive continued to believe the 2 or 3 shots a year i take on big game from a 24" rifle barrel is much less concerning than the hundreds I shoot with a shotgun for birds. realistically, from november through may im wearing ear protection just to cut wind noise anytime im in the mountains anyways.

The reason why ask is that I won a TB in a raffle at a shoot at the range a couple of days ago. I’m all about testing free gear….
