The last hurrah.

A couple of weeks back, I had to get the pup out for one last go at the pheasants before the season closed. For the most part the birds were quite flighty except when in heavy cover where they thought they could sit tight and let you walk on by. I probably would have but the pup didn't.

This is my pup Dixie with her brother from an earlier litter when we are 2/3's of the way done.

End of the day.

I already miss it and can't wait until next fall rolls around.
