As of August 8th, 2011 I will be on this site for one year. I just wanted to thank you guys for all that I've learned. I've always been an avid hunter from a young age, but only in the east (Pennsylvania & Iowa). Never having lived in the west, "hunting the west" was always a little intimidating....not any more. I was always under the misguided impression that the animals were only on the private grounds
I was always good at knocking on rancher's doors and asking for permission, now I am more confident of hunting those public grounds. RESEARCH goes a long way in hunting the west. Whether it be, maps, personal contacts, magazines, telephone calls or the OYOA site , it all goes a long way. I try and read every post and learn from every post. I would have never believed I could have filled out so many applications, as I did last year. The first year on this site has been great and I will keep adding to my knowledge.
Thanks to all
good luck to all
