Teton Mnt Goat Cull Update

Hunt is done for the year. Nice report. BTW, Commissioner Schmid is a hell of an asset on the Commission. He has been very influential on issues I care about.

Final cull: Exotic goat herd trimmed by 43 in Teton Park

Rangers have decided to pull volunteer hunters out of the Tetons early and cease the cull of exotic mountain goats for now.

If they call them exotics now just send em to Texas. I hear they’ll take anything from anywhere down there.

i have a book on goats hidden away where i cant find it,, but from memory goats and sheep use different areas of range

Great write up. I wish I could find one on how the one in ONP went this fall. Schmid sounds like a pretty good, reasonable dude.

I am glad they allowed hunters in. I wish something similar could happen with the elk cull in RMNP.
