Tag services or chatbot?

Ai overview is basically chatbot id bet you could use it to get some helpful information also.
Yeah I've never used gohunt or similar but I haven't really been doing a lot of unit specific info gathering the last couple years so I really haven't tried any type of AI. Seems strong for draw odds if you know where you want to go, but I'm guessing the kind of BS 17rem has been posting would junk it up if you're really trying to research units using it.

Nothing in that particular post did he talked about bow hunting but hearing a lot of rifle shots. Only reason I used that post was to show how easy Chatbot cut right down to the unit

Has anyone used www.huntinfool.com - It looks like it is about $50 a year and provideS similar info to GOHUNT.
It is included with OnX elite membership. I use it all the time the online magazines are good for a quick overview of each state and what the odds were last year. Also the previous tagholders list is a real thing, I used it this year!

I've never been a member of GoHunt for this reason, the product just isn't very good, IMO. I feel the same way about AI currently, you have to be so specific in your prompts for it produce something that isn't just garbage.

When GOHUNT screwed everyone with their false advertising about the monthly giveaways (that never happened) and then they raised their price, I just couldn't let it go. So I fired them.
When the free preview I had showed me several Idaho controlled hunts as general seasons I told myself it wasn’t worth paying for

GOHUNT is like 175 dollars a year now and Chatbot is free. It gave me the exact same breakdown if not better. I’m sure if I put more details into it would be much information than GOHUNT
Maybe not free. Isn't everyone's inputs into those chatbots/LLMs, helping train them? And they're retaining the information people are inputting? Does this mean at some point other people inputting similar questions, will get an answer based on the information/query you put in? And since everyone can do that with AI because it's free (except for using large amounts of electricity and water), at some point I imagine everyone will be showing up at the same trailhead on opening morning.

You can train AI to believe misinformation.

I also dropped GoHunt. I now rely on all the Fish and Game info (maps, draw odds, harvest results). Takes more time but can be enjoyable. Will try and use an AI tool more for basic ideas but found them incorrect when digging into the details.
If other states were even close to wyomings website. Go hunt would be obsolete imo.

Never said they were. Do you not feel like Wyoming is way more streamlined?
It is, but it's also because they have a very simple draw procedure and regulations (tags). Compare that to a bonus point state with convoluted draw procedures for NR (ahem, MT) and you can see why WY is more streamlined. That said, it ain't that much harder to figure out MT or any other state, the spreadsheet is just a little messy.

Yeah but by that logic Colorado or NM should have a more streamlined system. Ones straight preference the other random both more straightforward than WY. Yet neither is as user friendly as Wyoming they just plain does it right.
