Good luck to anyone getting out after spring bear this season. Hope to see some pictures come rolling in as it warms up this season.

If you are as lucky as user "theat" you might run into some furballs early on.

Just getting going in my area. So far my only score has been this elk shed I found last night.


Getting a few trail cam pics but no big bears yet.

Made it out today. Very little green grass in our area. I'm guessing in about a week we'll start getting the first push of bears coming out of the den. Grass needs to shoot up a bit more.

The HuntTalker hunters looked like they had a great time last week! Anyone else have any luck, and punch a bear tag last week or weekend?

Over here in idaho things have heated up early season opened on April 15th and by the 30th we have 3 bears down with only tag left to fill in our group!

From the sounds of things, there's quite a bit of snow still needing to melt. However, the bears are out. Some good bears taken by some members.

A buddy of mine (who I normally hunt with) took his girlfriend backpacking all week. Managed to shoot his first color phase in the Bitteroots this week. If I get a picture. I'll try to post it.

Lots of snow still but the bears are out. It's been a little different trying to find them as many I've seen are living in areas where the grass is out but not super long. It seems they are pushing as high as they can in the areas I've been in despite more and better grass down low.
