Just shot this nice doe a short ways from my back door. Second mz for the year and deer number five. Six to go!

She is pretty old and big. The pic does not do her justice. I have literally killed hundreds of them and she is about as big as any that I have killed. I would guess 115 dressed. I can't weigh her, as she has been quartered. I am going to haul the meat back to the house tomorrow in my pack. I could have gotten her out tonight, but I hate doing stuff with a head lamp. Wading across the slough in the dark is no fun, for old clumsy guys!
