Sorry if this is posted elsewhere on this forum, but I just came across this YT podcast. It gives quite a bit of useful advice for easterners that want to experience western hunting for the 1st time. It covers quite a bit of topics and much of the info is basic, but I found it a pretty good watch. I (myself) have only been out west, a couple of times (although not backpacking hunts) and I got some descent advice about "the process". Hopefully this can help others and answer some questions that all of us newbies seem to ask.
