SNOW SUCKS!

We can still use more precip here...had red flag warnings last weekend, several thousand acre fire near us. No issues in a protected area where fire does some good, but wouldnt take much to be more trouble.

Snow tends to melt in more than rain. Up to 6" forecast starting tonight. Just hope its not real wet stuff that takes down more trees and limbs.

Most of the places I have lived, the snow melt runs of 'cuz the ground is frozen. We are in drought although I'm wearing muck boots when I step outside because of the mud.

They have cut back on their predictions for us. Looking like about 9" now, over 3 days. One more chance to play with my snowblower. :)

We've lost most of the frost except in protected areas or where it was driven down deep.

Well the "storm" ain't much yet but the bird feeders and seed I toss on the ground is sure attracting a broad array. Might have to get a bit more at the store today. Juncos have been around in great numbers, but some sparrows that we don't see all winter are back--song and Fox at least.

They might be telling me more weather is coming.

You yankees and your snow…I was in Big Bend NP last week and it was 111 in Boquillas Canyon on Thursday afternoon, Rio Grande was bath water warm. Don’t know if that’s better than snow or not…

Not sure what's worse. Snow or tornadoes. High risk today and tonight. We did get 1" of rain overnight and somehow the river is under a flood watch!
