SNOW SUCKS!

Man, love Grand Mesa! Until almost got snowed in at 10k!! Drive down was two of us walking to give trucks a little path in 3' over night. Took us about 5 hrs to go a normal 1.5 hr run. Tent got ruined....🤬
The Wife and I went for an ATV ride today on the Uncompahgre Plateau starting low at Cactus Park. We didn't expect to be able to drive all the way up to Divide Road which sits between Colorado's units 61 and 62. There's almost no snow looking south from the forest boundary which is normally closed December 1. The second photo is looking northeast towards Grand Mesa, we need snow badly! This is at 8300'IMG_9342.jpegIMG_9343.jpeg

I love snow and cold. So I would love that. But don't give me cold and no snow. Playing in the snow is some much better then playing when there is not. With that said. I drove in a frozen field today. About 8" snow and in the teens. I was relocating a hunting blind. Trying to do it when I wouldnt leave ruts. The idea was to get the trailer in the woods. Not the truck. That went swimmingly when the truck slid into the woods. Chains and a come along. Traction control off. Got it out. Thankfully. Back at camp trying to thaw out. There wasn't help for a ways off. Was touch and go if it would work its way out.

Doing okay around here.

That graft is a very general one. We live on the South fork of the Shoshone river near Cody and the mountains close by (Carter, Trout peak on the North fork) have very little snow.Carter Mtn. sno tell shows 6” at 8800 ft. Bare ground showing all over them. Mtns. West and North farther are doing fine. It’s been crazy warm and dry here too.
