Snow in unit 62 Co

Is there any snow in unit 62 yet in Co.I leave later this week to go out and 3rd season deer hunt.Wondering if I need to bring tire chains.All I've seen is its been warmer and drier then normal across the west.So hoping someone could give me a report of the weather in the unit

Not yet, it's been mostly warm and dry. But I don't go up there without chains this time of year. Ground is still warm, if it rains or snows, the roads will be an awful muddy mess.

It's really hot this year. I 'm really hoping we get some weather soon. Bucks are just starting to hang with the does, and the big boys are still in bachelor groups.

Wouldn't you be better off bringing your chains in case you need them? I sure beats rushing to get off the mountain if you see bad weather coming. This time of year things can change in a hurry.

I was in unit 54 which is only about 40 miles from 62 a week ago and it was 71 degrees when I got off the mountain at 1:00 at the far west end of the unit .. but I had chains under my seat just in case!

No snow... Hardly any moisture in weeks! Weather seems to still be warm next weekend as well. Probably be safe to bring your shorts and sun tan lotion lol. Never go into the hills without chains. The mountains make there own weather.
