Didn't say that. I use what I have and the bullets I feel work. I have a .243 not a 223. And I don't use the .243 for everything. Think I posted that earlier. mtmuley
The smaller bullet makes my brass look bigger. It fine if its your jam but I just don't see how a guy would have a problem shooting something a little more manly like a suppressed 6 creed. I guess I'm tuffer than I we all thought.
Ha! I assume that's tongue in cheek, a suppressed 6 Creed is pretty phenomenal. While I've been having fun experimenting with the 22 cals if I was heading out on the hunt of a lifetime today I'd take a 6mm.
It's not the cartridge it's the shooter. How many new hunters gather this info and take off with it? My point is not that a small cartridge won't work. Done it. The size of the bullet does not matter if you can put where it needs to be. Magnum or otherwise. mtmuleyRight, I'm with you. You said there are very few people that should use a 22 cal centerfire for big game and I'm just curious what the difference is between using a .243 and say a 22-250, 22 creed, 220 swift or even a 223. I'm not saying they're the best choice for elk but antelope, deer, and bear are considered big game.

Hmmm, I think a 115.Loaded with which tmk?
I’m sure that’s why your all worried about what you can do with it and not what the head stamp saysMy brass has a great personality so I’m not worried

there’s been enough animals killed with 22 caliber from experienced hunters I got no problem with it. Growing up I remember my buddy killing some great bucks with a 222 and 50 grain vmax. To each their own.
Yep. We do. mtmuleyI think we align on this more than it seems at times.
Dang. Now I wish 17remhunter was here to say .22 cal is too big.Watched my brother in law stick a .20 cal 35 grain Berger into the chest cavity of a mule deer buck at about 300 yards. Can’t say I’d recommend it but it was extremely effective. 20 yard stumble and fall
Yep. We do. This has been hashed over thousands of times. As hunters we know what works for us. mtmuleyI think we align on this more than it seems at times.
