Slow tax refund due to pandemic?

Something is probably wrong. I had the same thing happen last year and after 6 months I finally started really looking into it. You will never get a human at the IRS or website, however, my accountant steered me towards the "Local Taxpayer Advocate." I called them and in a couple hours they were able to track down the issue (a missing form) and help me get it fixed.

I phoned that number and got a recording that due to COVID it may take up to 4 weeks for them to return my call.
Strange thing is I e-filed, standard deduction, basically same process and information as the previous year.

That's insane. Sorry I don't have any other ideas.

Finally! "Your tax refund is scheduled to be sent to your bank by July 8, 2022"
Same E-file that in the past has been refunded in less than 10 days.
This time I E-filed on March 8, so over 15 weeks!
