It was a little to chilly for just the hat

Caught my first yellow perch this morning. I’m so excited we have them in our lake now. Caught it off a minnow around 15ft deep along with a few crappie. If anyone has any tips on a better way to fish for them I’m all ears. This is a deep, clear reservoir.

For bigger perch, you can fish them with almost anything. Minnow and a jig typically does really good around here.. Through the ice, I catch them on a small jig and a plastic or waxie typically! I usually find the best numbers in soft bottom areas where there's more bugs!
