Sitka Ascent Pant Sizes

Looking at buying some of these for hiking and Boy Scout activities. Question on the size...do they follow regular jean sizes? I found the sizing chart but that doesn't correlate to jean sizes. That leaves me wondering what size to get. Thanks for any input.

For me, they do correspond with the size of Wranglers I wear. Not sure if Wranglers are sized different other than brands of jeans.

Mine say 38 inside the waist, same as my jeans. Love those pants.
