I've read on here that some guys ship gear to and from hunts to save on airfare cost or to allow meat to be brought back. I'm planning on shipping most of my kit as well. I'm looking for ideas or referrals as to what type of container you've used. I currently have a Plano tote/foot locker that I may use. It's lockable but I'm not sure about how well it'll hold up.I'll use either UPS or FedEx.
Thanks!

Just shipped a large Home Depot moving box full of my camping gear,45lbs.Sent it priority with $550 worth of insurance on it for $110.To take it as a 3rd bag on the airline would have been $150.Did UPS one time shipping gear to Co ahead of our hunt and a lot of our stuff was broken. And that box cost somewhere around $400 to ship.My partner went overboard and sent everything but his kitchen sink. This was for a drop camp 8 years ago.I was happy with how little the post office charged for my box and its being shipped to a tiny town in Alaska
