Season has commenced

I'll try my luck at one of these semi live threads. Already been on some Sharptail, so I missed it there but I'll pick up today, elk camp bound.

It's going to be a good year, have my first LQ elk tag and the a decent antelope tag here in Wyoming. A few out of state hunts planned as well .

Also trying to find my inner @Khunter with the hostess. I might not have his prowess with the bow, but I'll challenge him with donuts.

Had a good weekend, saw a pile of elk, got a great idea on what to do moving forward. Had one without a doubt shooter close yesterday afternoon, couldn't make it happen before dark. Lots of cows without bulls, only one bull with cows sounded off. Looking like I timed my time off and the rut pretty close.



First time seeing wild horses too. Lots of them around.



Per usual, I can't go anywhere without something happening. First off my quad wouldn't fit in the truck (short bed) with the tool box in. No biggie, took the tool box out and then the tail gate wouldn't close. So leave it down right? Got it in and camper hooked up, well, the tailgate was smacking the leveling jack. Unhook and removed the tailgate, all is well. Search starts now for a newer truck this spring, never buying a short bed again.

Then a portion of my exhaust parted ways with the truck on the way out.



Got it off and went with it. It's a lot louder than before, but no sensors or lights came on the rest of the way home. Woosah...

Great weekend overall, super excited about taking off Friday and hunting through the first of October before switching to antelope.
