Seam Sealing

Too hot in the South Texas sun so having to seam seal in the den!!! Thank God I have an understanding wife!!!

Thanks for the reminder. My 8-man, sawtooth and super tarp w/annex are all over due. I prefer the mineral spirits/silicone brush method and I turn each inside out and repeat ...... because I'm anal.

What ratio do you mix the silicone and mineral spirits? I have an older Cabelas Alaskan guide tent that needs sealing. In really good shape but leaks a little at the seams.

No set ratio, just so the small brush can easily apply the silicone mixture. I have also used the finger method direct from the tube which also works well.

It's not just hot, the humidity sucks too.

My wife would just give your wife a knowing look, and shake her head...
