scope on a Henry

My kids bought me a lever action Henry 17HMR for Christmas. I got it dialed in with the factory open sights, but was wondering if anyone has put a scope on something like this? If so what power? Does a 100 yard zero sound doable with this gun?

Mounted scope onto dads, use 3/8 dove tail rings. If you want to use something with a base you can, just more work. Went with a leupold to get quality and high gloss finish, lots to choose from just will cost $200 plus. We sight the 17hmrs to 100 as they are fairly flat to that, 300 becomes a shot.
