This is a decent older rifle from the early 1960's. It is the first variation of the Model 579 with the flat bolt and the magazine release in the front of the trigger guard. It is marked "Bofors" which is always a desirable feature as well as the grip cap and double border around the checkering. It shows some use, but still a great serviceable Sako with the multi-groove rifling which tends to lead to great accuracy. Finding a Sako under $1200.00 isn't easy these days...$899.00
