I picked up a new one and am wondering what ammo shoots good through it? I'll be targeting antelope and deer with it, I tried hornady superformance 139 grain and I couldn't get a group better than 5" at 100 yards.
I did find some HSN sierra 140 grain Low recoil and I can group it around 1.5" at 100 yards. But worried about the drop and knock down power out to 400 yards with the low recoil rounds.

I have the same gun. Mine shoots 140GR Nosler Accubond's (factory Nosler Ammo) into 1.25"- 1.50" groups at 100 yards. I haven't tried anything else, and I use the gun as my backup so I'm satisfied with the groups. I haven't shot any game with it yet, just paper.

Federal premium with partition and Barnes tsx. Both shoot well out of my sons

Federal Fusions have been the best factory ammo I've ever shot.

Thanks Cushman, I've had very good luck with fusions out of my .270. Now just need to find some available
