In the planning stages of a mule deer hunt in wyoming and had a question some of you experts will hopefully help me out with. Some units have tags for general and type, but there is an asterisk next to the type but not general tag. For example: unit 97 has type 3 and 8, and a general tag and a youth general tag. The 3 and 8 tags are for whitetail deer only and have an asterisk next to them, while both general tags do not have an asterisk. Looking at the unit there seems to be plenty of public access, so does the G & F put the asterisk next to the 3 & 8 tags because there arent many whitetails? Or because most of the whitetails are on private? Im a little confused.
