RMEF Public Land Access: Falls Creek, MT

http://www.rmef.org/Conservation/PublicAccess/fallscreek.aspx

Another work in progress by RMEF. Working with Private, State and Federal sectors to open up 26,000 acres of land to public land owners.

Pretty cool. Membership goes a hell of a long ways with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
So true, Sytes. Public access to the Falls Creek drainage and beyond will be a huge gain. Another access to upper Dearborn River, in addition to the limited access around a subdivision, will be another great improvement. If you have not hiked into Devils Glen in the upper Dearborn River, you have missed some extraordinary water features and fisheries.

Some interesting history behind this area of public and private land...

I've been around the area though never routed into this land prior to the change of ownership that blocked off public access.

RMEF (and company) hope to see this public land become accessible before this year's big game season. Fingers crossed for public land owners who would likely look to access.
