RIP John Mayall

There was a music store in our small town....Norsworthy's. It had small sound booths with turntables that patrons could actually demo albums. The counter lady was cool as hell and would let we broke-azzed wannabe garage band high schoolers listen to anything they had. I recall her slicing the cellophane with her painted thumbnail and handing me John Mayall's Bluesbreakers w/Clapton in 1966...changed everything I wanted to learn about guitar.

My brother worked at a record store in LA and brought home the best. I became a quick fan.
Got to see him live in small lounges twice in the 80's.
