Rimfire cans, what do you have?

The breakthrough suppressor cleaner works on anything I believe. It's expensive but can be reused. It works great on the mask internals which i believe are steel? I would never buy a rimfire suppressor you can't take apart.

Good to know on the re-useable portion. I've tried to stick with ti just to be able to use CLR but i never end up cleaning my cans anyway.. Do the rimfire cans not get carbon locked like centerfire cans? If so, how often do you need to take them apart to prevent it?

I usually clean mine every 500-600 rounds or so. The longer between cleaning, the longer I let it soak the next time. I like to give the container a good shake every once in a while to agitate things as well.

Dead air mask for me use it on A 22 and 17 never have cleaned it in the 5 years i have owned it. Got to have close to 10,000 rounds on it now.

I have a Jessie's Girl can on the way for my 10/22 with 16" barrel, but it's already incredibly quiet with subsonic ammo (Winchester Super Suppressed is my fav) and still pretty quiet with supersonic (Aguila Super Extra hollowpoint) so I'm unsure if I'll even put the can on it. The can will probably live on my FN 502.

For anyone with a 10/22, I highly recommend installing a rubber-coated bolt buffer as they reduce the bolt stop noise to a soft "thunk" compared to the loud "clank" of the bolt hitting the factory steel buffer. $15 well spent!

What kind of power does subsonics have? Will it kill the crap out of a coon as well as a LR?

I have a dead air mask. Unless I am using a super high velocity round, it is amazingly quiet. If I am using something like a velocinator, there there is a slight first round pop.

It is quiet enough that if I am in the garage with a standard velocity CCI round my wife can’t hear it in the kitchen through the door 20 feet away.

Just a warning that they are addicting.

Since the .22LR isn't really that loud to begin with is there really that much difference between the 250.00 and 600.00 can volume wise by just going by ear over a DB meter? I picked up the last ever last ever gun... a Bergara BXR for whacking coons out of my apple orchard. I have a nice stainless Ruger 10-22 but it lacked the built in picatinny rail for the thermal and threaded barrel for a future can. Looking for what you have to say about the lower cost cans as it isn't a must have item.

Dead Air Mask, it's a riot

No clue, send a coon up to AK and I'll find out! In all seriousness, I've only shot a couple squirrels so far with this gun. A quality subsonic hollow point would probably do fine for headshots on coons at distances under 20 yds.

I like the 45 grain CCI Suppressor subsonic HP load for whacking coons. The heavier bullet helps make up for the subsonic velocity, and it does what it is supposed to do to a tough old coon.
