Me and buddy drew region m mule deer general tag in wyoming, picked this unit because of the large amount blm land.. Does anyone have insight on where to start looking for mule deer there's alot of country to look threw, not looking for your hot spots any general info would help out a great deal, and is worth bringing side by side out there I see there's alot of roads running threw blm

We use to hunt off forest road 982 would glass down into the bottoms and watch the bucks feed off the private up onto the public later into the morning then set up for a evening ambush

I’ve hunted region c and region y. But this is how I would do it. First I would find a map of the area I don’t know if you can get maps for blm like you can the forest service but I would find a map and highlight all the roads on public and and try to find where the least concentration of roads are. Then start looking Google earth to find areas with good feed on public and find water use historical imagery and use topo to find areas that might hold water longer. I would also scrutinized where public meets private and look for areas that may have good bedding on public that leads to good feed on private. Also look for terrain obstacles like rugged canyons right off roads or overlooked places. I would suggest getting there some days early and try to locate deer before pressure increases or if possible grab your bow and go scout/hunt before season starts. Also also figure out what pockets of public surrounded by private are possibly accessible. Good luck on the hunt. Post pics of the hunt would love to hear how it goes.
