rabbitt bait

|oo :MAD :MAD michigan weather this year has me going bonkers! I can`t find snow to ride my sled and the rain fall keeps me indoors.so, I have decieded to trap rabbitt`s with man made wooden box`s. I have made six so far and wood like to have ten or more. my problem is the little bait thieves that are to small to trigger the door. all I see is mouse dung left behind. any of my fellow hunting buddy`s got the answer for more rabbitt meat on the table. thank you.

don't know what your trap looks like or how its triggered to go off but fo.r bait i would use an ear of corn or maybe some nice green alfalfa.If you could post a picture of your trap I could be more helpful.

in the traps my dad an i made we used apple an hung it from string with a thumb tack
