Any tips on preventing weed seeds such as Houndstongue etc. sticking to pants?
Spray pants with silicone water proofer?
Filson tin pants seem to work well but are noisy for upland hunting.

I don't care for the specialty upland pants that are too bulky and stiff. Dickies canvas carpenter pants seem to work well enough. Frayed hems will still grab the weeds though. Try them on first. Dickies waist sizes lean towards smaller than other brands. Carharts carpenter pants work just as well but cost a helluva lot more.

I had to click on this to figure out what was going on. I had a very differnt vision when I read How to prevent Houndstongue from sticking to pants.

Just shows how much I know about weeds.

Get a pant that doesn't have nap to it at all. Canvas duck pants work fine (carhartt, duluth, dickies, etc), as do the mission built upland pants. I was gifted a pair of the cabela's upland pants and am wearing them in the north woods to great effect. Light and let ya boys breath, but stand up to the briars and such that comes with chasing birds. Orvis, First Lite, etc all make a technical pant that would work if you want to spend the money, but honestly, I've gotten by with chinos and double fronts. This is my first year of using the cabelas pants, and I'm sold though. I don't think you need to break the bank, but buying clothing from an established brand usually means decent quality control. I tend to run hot, so the double fronts usually come out for December rooster tromps.
