Pocket pistol

I also have a LCP and have carried it for years. I've got the gen 1 without the laser and goofy crap they came up with. I carry it in a small holster in my pocket and there is no issue. I can carry in sweat pants or gym shorts inside a pocket since the pistol and holster weigh little to nothing. I also have a 6 o'clock IWB holster for when I'm wearing something a little more sufficient. In the winter when I'm wearing a heavy coat I carry my Glock .40, but most of the year is my .380
I have a gen 1 LCP

And a couple snubby 38s

These are not "aiming" or high volume guns.

Shoot enough to be proficient at 5 to 7 yards.

If someone gets that close to me, ive screwed up on many other levels getting to that point or the S has really hit the fan.

I consider both of them really to be "get off me guns"

Looking for recommendations for a pocket carry pistol. Preferably 380 or larger. I have a subcompact 9mm that I thought I would carry more but just don’t like the inside the pants holsters and to big for the pocket. I’m kind of leaning towards the hammer less revolvers. Thanks.
The Smith and Wesson 340 PD in .357 is all I carry. Super light

Took my little M&P Bodyguard everywhere I went for a long time. This holster also tucks quite snugly and firmly in the waistband if you want.

Kinda hard to shoot, especially with long fingers, but a little practice and you’re on target. Overall I like it a lot for its purpose as a pocket pistol.

I still like my G43 more, but that’s not a pocket pistol, obviously.

642 or 442 are nice for pocket carry. It's very easy to put 8 lb springs in them. You probably won't need to touch any other parts. Default is about 12-13 lb pull which is a lot. That makes a huge difference.

I have several J-frame sized revolvers. My favorites are the fully enclosed, DA only’s.

Smith 640 Humpback stainless. With a Tritium Big-Dot.
Smith 642 UC.
Smith Bodyguard poly-frame with the laser grip.
Taurus J-frame
SP101 3” - I’ve fired this one with full house 180 gr. .357’s and it’s remarkably controllable.

Come to think of it, I didn’t realize I had that many.

All of them are plenty accurate at 25 feet, with the 640 & 642 being easiest to shoot with the best sights and triggers. I really like the fully enclosed hammer - nothing to snag on and I find the J-Frames easier to CC than even a Ruger LCP (mine have been jammomatics with everything I’ve tried).

Generally speaking, I load 148 gr Wadcutters. Easy recoil, plenty accurate, and FBI approved.
