Looking for recommendations for a pocket carry pistol. Preferably 380 or larger. I have a subcompact 9mm that I thought I would carry more but just don’t like the inside the pants holsters and to big for the pocket. I’m kind of leaning towards the hammer less revolvers. Thanks.

I’d check out the Ruger lcp as well for a pocket carry pistol.
I also have a LCP and have carried it for years. I've got the gen 1 without the laser and goofy crap they came up with. I carry it in a small holster in my pocket and there is no issue. I can carry in sweat pants or gym shorts inside a pocket since the pistol and holster weigh little to nothing. I also have a 6 o'clock IWB holster for when I'm wearing something a little more sufficient. In the winter when I'm wearing a heavy coat I carry my Glock .40, but most of the year is my .380

If you’re actually wanting to pocket carry I’d look at one of the new s&w body guard's.

A 43 or 365 will definitely be easier to shoot but this probably isn’t a range toy anyway.

Love the vote above for the air frame, also not an easy shooter.

Glock 43x

If need smaller Ruger LCP or LCR

I have an LCP custom I carry, love the size. Just remember a pocket pistol is just to get you out of the area, it's not an engagement gun.

I have a Diamondback DB9 4th gen, that I carry in a desantis pocket holster. Conceals great, and at 13yds I can keep all rounds on a 12x12 target rapid firing. It’s not pleasant to shoot I must say, though.

Pocket carry to me mandates a snub nose. The hammerless models just kind of melt into your pocket. They are hard to shoot and take a lot of practice to get competent with. My suggestion, find one in 9mm if you can for a bit cheaper ammunition than .38SPL.

I like the smith 638 and ruger lcr in 38. The smith bodyguard 2.0 in 380 is excellent. I also like the ruger lcp max. I own all of these and have carried them in the pocket. If forced into a choice I would take the lcr if choosing a revolver and the bodyguard for the 380. I recently got the bodyguard and have to say, so fare it's excellent. Light weight, holds 10+1, excellent grip and sights and very light recoil. There's a reason it's getting so much buzz.

If it’s truly a pocket carry I’m after, I tote a Ruger LCP. No light, laser, extra fluff. Just it in a pocket holster with good ammunition.
