How many times does that happen? There is nothing like a nice walk with a SXS shotgun and a couple bird dogs. Both dogs are deaf, but their noses still work. There have been plenty Roosters bust out, just too far away. Late season birds need long range shotguns.

Still a chance for a nice photo or two...

I take a lot of nice walks with heavy packs, rifles and shotguns, from time to time I get lucky and actually hunt something.

Any day outside hunting beats a day staying at home or work.

Nothing wasted on a walk about with dogs in the outdoors and not smelling gunpowder. Still a great day and I have experienced a few similar. Nice shotgun.

What you never expect to find, a pheasant planted a bit too deep...

If you don't shoot 'em, you don't have to clean 'em. :) Dogs have fun anyway. There was one morning this fall when I had my limit of three roosters (+ 1 sharpie) by 10:30. End of the day. Damn shame, we were having fun. But just as well. I was almost doubled over in pain from hernia and gall stone.
