Soon Massachusetts (October 29, 30 & 31) will hold it's annual ParaHunt. This is where the state has a three day (half day at the Quabbin Reservoir) deer hunt for Paraplegic's. The Mass Wildlife holds this program at five different places across the state including the islands. I hunt at the Quabbin each year. The state has workers who will drive the deer towards us and if we are lucky enough to bag a deer, they will pick it up, field dress it and put in in our vehicles for us. I have hunted this program for about ten years now and have bagged a deer about half the time.

There are a number of people who volunteer their time to help with the hunt too. They take vacation days off just so they can help us. Just how nice is that!!! So to all those volunteer's and state workers, I give a hearty Thank You Very Much!!! You have made our lives richer for it.

It is a fantastic program that I would like to thank the State of Massachusetts and esp. Mass Wildlife for all that they do for us Paraplegic hunters.
