Just thought I would post some pictures of the bucks our group took this year. Nothing huge but a couple of nice bucks in the bunch.
My wife and boys with the buck she took.
Here is the buck that should have been wearing her tag, but it was tagged by another member of our party before he knew that she had already put one through a lung. (That was verified after it was skinned out) He offered the buck to her, but she graciously declined.
This is my little bugger. He learned the hard way not to tempt me when I have my wife's new rifle in hand that I have yet to shoot anything with. 200 yards broadside while sitting behind the bipod was more temptation then I could take. By the way a 7mm-08 will kill deer.
This is a friend of ours with her first buck and only second deer. Not too shabby!
And finally the one Dad took shortly after telling me he was willing to wait all season for a nice one if need be. Only needed a short 1 hour wait. Note: a .300 Weatherby Mag at about the distance of a pickup length IS adequate.
