My Great-grandfather with lots of help from a bunch of Norwegians built this barn back in 1918. I have been doing repairs to the stone work the last few years. I can not imagine how much work it must have been to build.View attachment 175189 Some where I have better pictures of just the barn, and not my son with some big elk sheds.

This shack is in the Ruby's of NV. The walls are about 2 feet thick so I'm sure whoever lived there was ready for anything winter had in store. I found it during an August archery hunt and it was quite cool inside.

This structure was probably an old jail. Look at the hinges on the left of the door. I will post a picture of a similar structure that was a county jail that is part of a city park now. Thanks, TheGrayRider.

This is currently being used as a trapper cabin in AK. It was originally built as a stopping point along the trial between "town" and the gold fields, about 30 miles each way. Pretty well kept up. Was built in the 30s. Might swing by it this fall again.

This was a cabin was built in the 40s as a base camp for hunting sheep and was used up until 2015. It's since been torn down, but who ever built it hauled in a lot of cement... via super cub.

An old homestead I hunt morels around. I don't know how old it is, bit I would say at least 1840s. Lots of old broken crockery and things laying around. One of these days I'm going to pack my metal detector back there and see what I find.
