My youth leader at my church just took this pic of a small bull off of hwy 16 on my uncles property on the Illinois river just outside of Siloam Springs....i knew arkansas had elk but i thought they were over by harrison whic is a long ways from here....i think its crazy but maybe we have more than the counts say....just thought i woul share this with you guys.

Always cool to see a critter where you wouldn't expect one (with a few exceptions)..

Do landowners get any preferential treatment on tags in Arkansas? I know in KY, you can shoot elk with a deer tag in certain areas outside the targeted restoration zone. I have no idea on the Arkansas regs..

I dont think landowners get any special treatment...i think they give 24 tags for the draw and auction off a few more or something like that
