Hey guys!
I’ve just begun trying to bowfish. I’ve gone out a couple times and haven’t had very much success. I do not have a boat so it’s all from the bank. I’m having a blast though, hitting up the lakes around Loveland. I have a few questions.
What’s a good arrow to use? I tried one from Muzzy and the knock fell off with the first shot. I have a Cajun on now, the piranha long point I believe. Seems better, but I’m not sure of the longevity.
I’m also concerned about the angle of shots taken, since I’m on the bank and not looking down from a boat. I’ve not had it happened, so maybe it won’t, but is there any concern about “skipping” the arrow? I’m not worried it would actually skip but rather would there be enough deflection to cause an issue?
Any heads up about good habitat to look for? Right now I’ve just been looking for shallow water, flooded plants, algae mats... etc

Thanks for taking the time to look!
