Non Typical Coues' Deer

I took this picture this last summer at the SCI International Wildlife Museum in Tucson, AZ. Have you ever seen anything like it?
Yes, it's a Coues' Buck not a Whitetail!

One pointer take note thats what we are looking for in 2 weeks....

That's huge for a Coues Deer. That rack is probably a little bigger than a basketball. The scene is decieving, but those deer are not very big. 100 pounds is huge. That's a great deer. :cool:

There really wasn't any information on the plaque at the museum. I have no idea who shot it or score or anything. I only remember the plaque stating the common name and species, etc. Sorry. Oh, they do get a little bigger than 100 lbs. I have one that weighed 86 lbs field dressed. Should have been around 115-120 lbs on the hoof. The head was so large that a form had to be made for the mount. He didn't have even close to the size of antlers on this one though.
