This year I was extremely lucky to draw a december coues tag in New Mexico however, I was only able to make it out there on opening day.
On that first morning a spotted a doe and was able to get within 30 yards form her. After seeing that doe I thought it would be a good day but I was wrong. Saw nothing else the rest of the day except for a few rabbits.
I was contemplating going out there on the last weekend but the weather conditions were not favorable in this area. I still had a wonderful season with an elk taken in CO and a deer in AZ.
Coues hunting where I hunt is a bit different where I hunt from other areas. Alot more vegetation and more still hunting rather than glassing.
Next and last on the list for this season is AZ Javelina.
