Two years ago I got into a big bull with about 25 cows in this gulch so I figured Id check it out again this year. Took less than a minute to spot a nice six point and four cows on the hill side so with lots of day light to spare we took off after them. Ended up 125 yards above him with a stiff wind in my face. Set up and started lightly cow calling to him and a bit later something must have spooked the cows below him because he took off after them. Anyhow, no elk and no elk pictures, just a picture of me in the nasty hole I dragged my wife down into.
