New to the forum and world of western hunting

I am New to this forum and western hunting. I have always dreamed of hunting in other states and chasing different animals. I am a hog and whitetail Hunter beings that is what I grew up doing and pretty much what we have here in texas other than exotics. I hope to do my first elk hunt next year non guided and am hoping to learn as much as I can from this forum and other research. Happy hunting!

I am. I just can't see paying the money guided hunts cost. I'd rather learn from my mistakes and sucesses and enjoy the art of the hunt.
