New threat to 2nd A?

If this country doesn’t grow its population, it’ll end up in a deflationary economy similar to Japan. You can’t afford resources with a lower population tax base. The US has had the greatest economy in the world in part because of the population growth from 132 million in 1940 to 341 million in 2025.

Stable population needs 2.1 births per woman. U.S. is not meeting that number.View attachment 400028

The U.S. makes up for the birth gap with immigrants. Freeze immigration and the economy tanks. There needs to be continued population growth in the country or the economy starts to stall. Either start increasing births or fix the immigration issues. View attachment 400029
They don’t want certain immigrants. For …. Reasons.

A lot of us cared about those rights then and now. Pretty damned frustrating when people are OK with the other tribe's rights not being observed and being ignorant enough to not realize their and all of our time will come soon and/or with more emphasis if we foster those types of attitudes as a country.
I cared then and I care now. Im just not an ass that attacks law enforcement to prove i care and also not dumb enough to think that makes a difference at all. Its probably making it worse for the immigrants if were being honest.

Those "rights" weren't what I recall from my basic HS Civics class.

Turns out court after court didn't think they were rights either.

I know the family of the 50 something very healthy preacher who died from covid that we know sure wish more people didn't think like you, maybe he'd still be alive.

I am sorry for their loss. Was he not vaccinated, or did he get vaccinated and it just didn’t protect him?

The economy is driven more on production then the number of people. unlimited immigration will be worse for us long term. Limited immigration and being selective like canada can be beneficial to us. But to think we need millions of immigrants every year is laughable and detrimental to our natural resources that are suffer now

Thanks, was a close childhood friend of my wifes. He died early before the vaccine came out, but after warnings and masking suggestions were out. Refused to close his church thought it was needed more then than ever, hard to dispute that. Lots of parishioners refused to mask we heard, despite pleas to do so.

Yep they created a vaccine that was useful for that. Not so much during covid.

One of my friends from field trialling pointing dogs is the head of a university immunology department. He began his career at the Mayo Clinic, doing research...on vaccines.

He told me that it has LONG been known that the best possible vaccines were mRNA vaccines. The fly in the ointment was they were not stable. You could make them, but their shelf life was just too short.

Pfizer and Moderna discovered breakthroughs that made them much more stable. You might recall that these vaccines were kept frozen, until ready to use.

I doubt this changes a thing for you, but if the costs were similar, every vaccine would likely be of a mRNA variety.

Boy this took a turn, but I can't let it go.

My wife rode in a car with her brother to a distant wedding during covid. He wasn't vaccinated, she was. Hours and hours in the car. He turned out to have had covid, symptoms started getting worse on their drive back.

She caught it but had an extremely mild case.

My then several month old baby grandaughter caught it, likely from one of her parents who refused to get vaccinated. Not sure if you have kids if not others can probably relate--she was very sick and it's really hard to see at such an age. Her parents being sick as well we took care of her. Both my wife and myself were vaccinated. This was a baby now--we held her, fed her, changed diapers, all the while she was hacking literally in our face at times.

Neither one of us caught it.

Scores of stories like that. Vaccines do not have to prevent every case or be 100 percent effective to be worthwhile, basic science but so many seem to have missed that part.

Sigh.

Bring up vaccines and its no longer my body my choice......its your body my choice.........oh the double standard of both sides..........

Artificial intelligence is going to take care of the population issue you think we will have in 30 years.

production is more important then population size for a economy. Especially when you consider the immigrants we are getting drug dealers and ag workers is all i have seen thrown around here.... if in 100 years they need more people they can increase and be selective but unlimited immigration is going to hurt us more then help us we don't need more people go look at some of these large cities I don't care if they are democrat or republican most are asphalt shit holes trash everywhere. If you want unlimited immigration to keep growing our population just to grow our economy.....if that's the case where do you stop. When all of the land is occupied and there is no more wildlife, fresh water, farmland to grow food. Can't just keep bringing more people in with limited resources.......

Wife’s unvaccinated as is whole household. All of us except her got sick. Made me allergic to bees, the doctor said 🤣

We all hacked in her face and she’s still never had covid. It can all be said for those who are unvaccinated too. The first vaccine for smallpox was in the late 1700s. It wasn’t until like the 1850s it was even close to “perfected”. I had to look that up because that was a dumb argument too. Some people will just take whatever the gov says is helping them! Isn’t that what started smallpox anyway? Oops…….

@406dn were you cheering in this crowd?

Great find @Frequently Banned Troll . Who knew I'd think Hillary Clinton had a reasonable position. Shows the progression of how "far" things have moved on the left.

Bill, Hillary, Obama all have similar sound bites from not at all long ago. Now if we don’t want millions of illegals per year (especially in those non-voter ID states) you’re evil.

I don't think that's been said anywhere. My guess is most people here support strong border security.
