New Remington Short Magnum

Just finished reading about the new Short magnum from big green. It looks like they expect to get the same velocity from their 30 cal version with a 22" tube, that Winchester gets from a 24 inch tube with the Win mag and a 180 grain partition. Now all things being equal, that means that you should be able to get 300 Weatherby velocities from a short action magnum with a 26 inch tube. This is going to be an interesting winter if this thing gets to the public.

Any word on eather one of them bringing out a bigger bore short mag ? .338, .350, .375 ?

Nothing certain, but it can't be far away. Winchester has mentioned thier version in both 7mm and 338. We'll see.
