Bear hunters will have new rules regarding grizzly bears starting Sept. 1 and mandatory bear ID for 2025

New rules taking effect Sept. 1 require black bear hunters hunting over bait to report the presence of a grizzly and remove the bait.

We knew this was coming after the debacle. It’s better than I was expecting. I was thinking they would eliminate baiting altogether in the higher density griz areas. Similar to unit one
