New Mexico youth elk hunt question

Can you transfer a landowner tag the "eplus tag" to a youth hunter to hunt in the youth season ? or would he have to hunt one of the regular seasons if you bought this tag.

in the olden days the landowner authorization would have the list of hunts it could be used for, if the youth hunt is on the list you're good to go. Otherwise call NMGF.

"come on man" have you ever tried to call New Mexico game and fish, there as elusive as it gets. I have attempted lets just leave it at that.

It depends on unit & if tag has been converted already. Also if it is RO or UW.
Otherwise the tag is good during concuring draw hunts.

I rarely have a problem if I call SF or Cruces offices....maybe a long wait.
