Anyone know what this plant is? It has a strong but pleasant citrus, skunky smell. Tended to grow under junipers and other large bushes and trees. I thought it might be good to try crushing the little flowers and using for seasoning on fish.
But before I did I thought a name to google poison treatment might be useful.

Might be fireweed. Wild epazote. Nice herb that has been forgotten.
Like Yerba Buena which is a must in Carne Asada marinade recipe.
Greens are edible too. Kinda like arugala.

Ehhh I don’t know?
But it sounds like a vote for trying it.. I can work with that

If it’s the same thing, and based on the name, it’s a great fire starter. Used it on a late bull hunt in az and it basically goes up in flames when it sees fire.

Blackened striped bass it is then 😁
