Here are a few photos from 2011.
As I drove up the mountain toward camp, I stopped to glass a ridge where I expected muleys to be. Instead, I saw two bighorns. (They were not as close as that photo makes it look.) I found the rub in a steep hole on opening day. The next day it snowed on top, but rained a few hundred feet lower on the mountain. I guess that pushed the elk out to a sunny ridge to dry, and the second cow from the right came home with me. I was surprised to find them in such a barren place in mid-October. They were well below the timber line.
