Anyone got a used scope they’d be willing to part with? It’ll be going on an old .308 and doesn’t have to be pretty. +1 to a leupold, I’ve never owned one and I really like the idea of the CDS dial. Thanks in advance

I have a few Leupold scopes I’m not using.
A Freedom 1.5 to 4; a 3.5x10 vx3 (pre cds) and a vx5 3-15. Also a very old but reliable 2x7.

What are you looking for? I have an Athlon ares BTR gen2 2.5-15x50 I'd sell. I love the scope, and it handles 338 recoil without missing a beat. Just want to try something new! Scope is only 2 years old. No CDS dial, but an adjustable turret

Hey guys, I’ve never used a turret or had one on a scope, so pretty much no matter what I end up with, I’ll be learning how to use it. Lol I really like the idea of being able to dial to the range and hold dead-on and the CDS seems to make it easy, round numbers instead of 2.2, 3.7 ect.
Again, beggars can’t be choosers and I just need SOMETHING before rifle season rolls around so I’m just feeling around.. I’d like to keep it around $200
and if I can get a little better USED one, that’d be awesome. If not, I’ll just get some bottom-of-the-barrel new one..

Honestly i had one of these for a long time and it worked great. Captain scope dropper also approves of it too, which is seemingly rare.

Just my opinion, but unless you shoot a lot and know what you’re doing stay away from spinning turrets. Stick with a basic 3-9x40 or equivalent and keep ranges reasonable.
Things can go sideways even if you have done it quite a bit. Don't ask me how I know. mtmuley

Was going to suggest this. The Burris FF II is a great go-to scope under $200. Had them on many rifles and never had an issue.
