Nd ducks

Live in the eastern part of the state. I've never seen so many ducks and geese. Best season I've had. Got my 1st duck band this morning pass shooting a redhead.

Sloughs are starting to freeze around Bismarck and I think it'll be mostly locked up within a few days. Would have to think that SD would be loading up. Not sure how cold it's gonna be there though so maybe it'll be more like Nebraska being loaded with ducks by the weekend.

Same up in NW ND- even the big water is mostly frozen today and no highs above freezing forecast right now. Single digit highs this weekend. Birds today are mostly standing on the ice. I give them a couple days tops here.

It was 75 two weekends ago and we were waiting for the ducks. Doesn’t seem like we’re going to get any this year.

Good to here goose numbers are crazy as usual. But we hardly any ducks spotted but its early. Getting some snow to the north later this week, should help.

Been best season in recent years here in Iowa, too. Hopefully the big push gets here before our marshes freeze. Usually doesn't.
