Hey all, due to factors out of my control I won’t be able to hunt my usual haunts in central Idaho. I’ve always heard the turkey population is much higher in N Idaho but only got to hunt on some private up around Grangeville years ago. Is it doable on public land up north? Any general areas to start? Everything around grangeville looks pretty private. Just looking for general advice/ how bird numbers are looking in the northern part of the state, thanks.

Lots of birds on corporate lands and public north of the Clearwater. Look for Potlatch-Deltic on your USFS maps.
