Made my own custom shooting stick using a cross country ski pole about 15 years ago. The seat is from ALPS Outdoorz - had it for 6 or 7 seasons and holding up well. Went online to buy a back up - didn't have camo.
Made the rests using u-bolts. Wrapped with friction tape. Low rest for sitting on the ground, middle for sitting on the stool or kneeling, top standing or sitting on stool. Have harvests with middle and top rests. It seems like in a lower rest situation I've used my pack on a rock or downfall.
